Our client, a worldwide highly respected dredging specialist, is looking for a CONTRACT MANAGER to reinforce the team.

In an operational environment with an involvement in complex contract structures, with high expectations from clients and with increasing regulatory restrictions from authorities, our client is looking for a Contract Manager to strengthen its Contract Management Division. The HQ is based in Antwerp (Belgium) and you can make use of their network of regional offices and satellite offices and working from home regimes.
Your taks & responsibilities:
> As a Contract Manager, you will provide support on a project-related basis and from a contractual- technical perspective, in executing the (construction) contracts our client has entered into with clients or main contractors and the subcontracts and supply agreements thereunder. You will be the go-to person for all contractual matters during the life of the project.
> You will proactively monitor contractual rights and obligations under the contract and/or subcontract(s).
> You will ensure that any contractual entitlements are timely and duly notified to the proper party in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and/or subcontract(s).
> You will establish clear and direct communication lines with all internal and external stakeholders.
> More specifically, you will provide support to the Project, to and under the direction of the Project Manager, which includes the following tasks and responsibilities:
• Developing, drafting and implementing a contract management plan;
• Contract compliance;
• Subcontractor management;
• Site-related communication;
• Assistance to invoicing process;
• Variation initiation and management;
• Claims management;
• Stakeholder management;
• Document management.
> You have obtained a Master in Laws, Economics or Engineering.
> You have 5 years’ experience in the field of contract management, preferably within the fields of expertise of our client. Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, BIMCO and LOGIC model contracts is considered essential.
> You are fluent in English. All other languages (such as Dutch and French) are considered an asset.
> You have excellent analytical skills and written communication is one of your strong points.
> You have a hands-on mentality and are very business minded.
> You are a team player, yet you are able to work independently and duly manage your workload and priorities.
> You have strong communication and relational skills.
> You are open-minded, flexible and stress resistant.
> You are willing to work at our head office in Belgium and/or on international assignments.
