(interim) LOGISTIC COORDINATOR

For our client, an international player in the offshore, renewable industry, we are looking for an INTERIM LOGISTIC COORDINATOR (based in IJmuiden, NL)

Conditions: temp position for 3 to 6 months for a freelancer; start date: ASAP!

Extra info: Unfortunately, their Logistic Coordinator has become ill, and it appears that he will be unable to work for a period of 3 to 6 months. Therefore, we are urgently seeking a suitable replacement during this interim period.

Overall objectives and job scope:

Drives the overall delivery of the Company’s and Functional business objectives, whilst reviewing and implementing departmental procedures in line with Company standards.

Responsible for interfacing with the client and allocating project resources, developing the project plan and ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget and with acceptable SHEQ standards.

Reports to: Base & Technical Survey Manager

Main duties:

The main duties associated with the role, include but are not limited to:

  • Follow up on all (rental) equipment requests, particularly those from the Operations and Technical Department
  • Ensure the timely and proper distribution of equipment to project locations, adhering to local regulations
  • Communicate the availability of rental equipment and externally stored items to all relevant parties
  • Ensure that all equipment is accompanied by the necessary transport documentation prior to distribution
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of logistical movements and asset assignments
  • Liaise with all relevant internal and external (rental) parties to arrange mobilisation and demobilisations, ensuring prompt and correct implementation in the most cost-effective manner
  • Cultivate and maintain a network within the logistics industry
  • Uphold adherence to established procedures and processes at all times
  • Attend meetings and audits actively, contributing to discussions and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Higher Vocational Education level
  • Certified for Handling Dangerous Goods
  • Excellent spoken and written command of English
  • Experience in International Transport (CMR)
  • Experience in and familiar with the Maritime or Offshore Industry
  • In depth experience with logistic procedures and processes
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
